Let me just go ahead and get one thing out of the way. I'm 67 years old...there...I said it! I'm 67 years old but I still feel like I'm 66! Lol!
Some people get hung up on age, and that's okay. Me personally? I don't think about age much. Every five years or so I have to ask my sister how old I am. I think she knocks off a year every now and again because she doesn't want me to feel bad about growing old. So, the way I see it, I might actually be somewhere around 90! (I'm kidding of course) I said earlier that I don't think about age much. I guess that's hard to believe since that's ALL I've talked about so far, so I'm gonna end this part by saying you're only as old as you feel. I'm in pretty good shape and don't look my age. Alright, here goes...I'm a retired paramedic. I retired in 2016. I have three daughter's and one son who retired from the Airforce a few months ago. They all have flown the nest, but that's not to say one of them might come knocking on my door when life tosses a grenade in their direction. I wouldn't have it any other way. They know they are always welcomed and safe here.
I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama (Southern by the grace of God.) I currently live outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Even though I'm retired I do work part-time, about 15 hours every two week for a company that lets me make my own schedule so it's no problem to take a couple of weeks off pretty much whenever I want to. I also have been working as a background actor off and on since last October on Stranger Things 4. In the last hour, on the final shoot of episode one I got upgraded to a principal actor and got a small (very,very small) speaking part, interacting with one of the lead actors. That was pretty cool.
But, I would quit any job in a New York minute if it ever gets between me and someone I care about, or if it keeps me from having a good time. Life's just too short! I don't drink much at all, but I do like to party! I think the last beer I had was at my youngest daughter's high school graduation in 2016. It doesn't bother me at all if someone I'm seeing drinks. I kinda enjoy a drunk, horney girlfriend from time to time!
I don't particularly like large events with crowds of people. I'm in that stage of my life where quiet is king. I ran the streets of Atlanta in a critical care ambulance for 23 years. I've seen all the chaos I need to see...
